Issues with iosxrv and csr1000v qemu

Hello World,
I've known EVE for a while now, but finally got around to deploying on ESXi 5.5. I know the EVE OVA isn't officially supported here, however, I was able to convert the vmdk/ovf and re-hash md successfully.
Works like a champ with vIOS, and I was able to get the qemu images for iosxr and csr1000v. Both csr and iosxr can be added as nodes, and I can even pull up console. But there is one major quirk that is driving me nuts:
The connector feature that resembles a "plug" icon is not present, so I cannot actually link two routers/objects together from the GUI :/
Pretty much makes the qemu instances useless. Anyone else run into this?
Thanks!
