EVE-NG cannot find an external host
Hello Guys,
I installed the EVE-NG image in my ESXi and all work fine.
However, when I create a network object to connect to an ACS host, I cannot access this host or ping or access by ssh or telnet.
I follow this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efx-Cr0oGdw to configure external connections, but I only can ping the host from the EVE-NG host. If for example, I ping from the gateway, is not possible.
Can someone help me with this issue?
Regards,
Luis

Re: EVE-NG cannot find an external host
We do not know your topology, if all the devices in same network example 192.168.1.X/24, they can communicate each other.
If they have different network, you need to have routing in place.
Fix the routing.

Re: EVE-NG cannot find an external host
Hi R!
First of all, thanks for your answer.
All machines are in the same subnet 10.0.0.0/24, for this reason, I open this case.
For example, if I ping from EVE-NG to IOL ip, I can ping and if from I ping from IOL to EVE-NG host, no problem.
But, if I ping from a host outside EVE-NG host, I cannot. Example, my IOL router have the IP address 10.0.0.2/24, my APIC-EM have the ip address 10.0.0.3/24 and my EVE-NG have the ip address 10.0.0.10/24, I can ping only 10.0.0.10 from my IOL.
All interfaces are in promiscuous mode according to a video posted on EVE-NG channel and don't have firewall rules blocking traffic on this network.

As per your description it should work..where is your default G/W reside, what is the IP address of that ?oluisdrive wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2017 12:49 pmHi R!

Re: EVE-NG cannot find an external host
My default gateway is a ASR. From EVE-NG, I can ping the GW, but not from IOL.
A question, all machines need stay in a same server?
For example, my APIC-EM and the EVE server need still in a same server to work?

Re: EVE-NG cannot find an external host
ASR is your DSL or WAN Edge router to Internet- ASR is inside node? ASR can able to ping external IP ?My default gateway is a ASR. From EVE-NG, I can ping the GW, but not from IOL.
Not required to be, but as long L3 reachable should be good.A question, all machines need stay in a same server?
APIC-EM can be any where..make sure you have network reachable. For example, my APIC-EM and the EVE server need still in a same server to work?

From my apic-EM I cannot reach my IOL router.

Show us your network diagram with IP in it.
