How to connect node to loopback adapter?

How to connect node to loopback adapter?

Is it possible to connect may PC's loopback adapter to a node like Fortigate?

I'd like to GUI access the fortigate on my PC. So Fortigate port1 should be in the same network with my PCs loopback adapter. Not sure if that's correct. I should be able to ping the FGT port1 ip address from my PC.

Also not sure which type should I use for the Net. Is it bridge, Management(Cloud0) or Cloud1. I'm using VMWare player for my EVE-NG.

Please help.

absolutely unnecessary thing, we are not GNS3 sir.
