EVE-NG GCP Issues

I am trying to deploy eve-ng on GCP and run the script as per the cookbook. However when rebooting the vm does not reboot. Tried multiple times and tried detaching and reattaching the disk and get the same issues. If you run the wget bash script as per cookbook there seems to be a lot of problems with it too. I edited out the azure stuff and it looked better after starting again but still getting the issue where the vm does not boot after. Has anyone else had similar problems recently?
