EVE-NG Server Hardware Settings Priorities

Post by Uldis (UD) » Wed May 10, 2023 8:22 pm

It is myth when people are saying: I have 128GB RAM and it is good server and can run a lot. It is not true.

The EVE-NG Server hardware priorities are:
1. CPU, and more CPU cores you have assigned for EVE server as better.
2. Fast HDD drive like SSD
3. and only then is RAM

If you have 4 CPU assigned for EVE server and it also has 128GB RAM, your RAM becomes useless, because CPU cannot hold the labs

I agree. I'm having 128GB of RAM but my machine can't run too much and it's a bit slow.1v1 lol

The statement that having 128GB of RAM automatically makes a server capable of running a lot is an oversimplification and can be misleading. While RAM is an important component in server performance, it is not the sole determining factor for a server's capabilities. Run 3
