Connecting EVE to external device (router/Switch)

Post by Pit » Mon Jul 16, 2018 6:06 pm

Dear All,
to move forward with some labs I bought 2 switches and 1 router. Tried so many times to connect EVE with real stuff - till now without success.
Short description:
1. Real NIC - connecting to external router and then to the switch
2. Bought second NIC (USB adapter) - tried to reach router or switch

For both same results:
I see via CDP neighbours all stuff but I`m not able to ping each other.
Few times watched video about UNL : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP43tYUgCYI
I did all same steps. Then I tried via trunk
For both - it did not work.
Kindly asking for help or some ideas to check

Regards
Pit

Dear UD, Dear All
the problem has been solved by UD Admin - Commodo Security stuff has blocked all traffic.
Intresting thing was that by cdp we saw some kind of loop - external devices connected to 1 virtual lab switch or router port shown the same virtual devices on same as a external port.
Previously, trying to change connection to trunk - STP blocked it.
Now, after deinstallation Commodo - works well, latency is rly low.

Thank you for help !
