Can't run Dynamips

Post by io9iocs » Sun Oct 01, 2017 3:49 pm

I'm totally newbies on Eve-ng.
I added all Dynamips images accordingly with instruction -no error during installation- however after creating a lab and tried to run images I get message saying

The remote system refused the connection

from SecureCRT.
I noticed the image goes green to black after 3-5 sec.
I'm using
EVE-NG OVA (downloaded from mirror site), VMware workstation, RAM 6GB, Intel CPU (4 processor, 1 core/Processor) and HDD of 40GB.
Linux eve-ng 4.9.40-eve-ng-ukms-2+ #4 SMP Fri Sep 15 02:07:02 CEST 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Please help!

Dynamips images, if you got them from cisco, must be unzipped first.
and properly named with.image extention at the end.

so your image name for 3725 must be like this:

c3725-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.T14.image

Supported are 1710, 3725 and 7200 images only

Hi UD,

I did unzipped as command below;

unzip -p c3725-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.bin > c3725-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.image

but problem still persists. I followed all steps in How to guide.
Any other suggestions?

Many Thanks!
