[SOLVED] Node location is not saved

Post by NitrousOxyde » Sun Oct 15, 2017 5:03 pm

Hello comrades,

I've noticed, that when I'm placing nodes in certain positions in the topology and then close the lab, their location is not being saved and they scatter randomly, which boils my oil

Already tried to lock the lab before exiting, did not help. Any ideas, why this could happen?

This looks odd, but can you please clear the Caches or Ctrl+refresh the browser, and do the same and try.

Such issue happens when poor quality communication PC Client <-> Sever.

(Means order from Client are not well submitted to the server )

Using Firefox and Chrome. May even try with IE

Here you go -

root@eve-ng:~# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
udev 3.9G 0 3.9G 0% /dev
tmpfs 799M 32M 767M 4% /run
/dev/mapper/eve--ng--vg-root 33G 7.1G 25G 23% /
tmpfs 3.9G 0 3.9G 0% /dev/shm
tmpfs 5.0M 0 5.0M 0% /run/lock
tmpfs 3.9G 0 3.9G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda1 472M 125M 323M 28% /boot

Might that be because of version? As far as I remember, on previous versions(like 2.0.3.80) there was no such issue

I use multiple v84 and everything is just fine.

Is that happen in newly created lab or an old lab?
login to cli, check if you see some .lock files at /opt/unetlab/labs/ and you folders if any there.

I've tested, it happens any time lab's size is bigger, that screen size, no matter, it is newly created file or not. When I save file or add new interconnection between nodes, after lab is updated, nodes, which were not fitting screen, swap to some random places on the topology

Could you please try to simulate this situation by creating quite large topology, that does not fit the screen?

As long as lab fits the screen, nothing problematic is seen :?
