CPU 100% using the actual idle PC value

Post by Networker_1904 » Fri Feb 01, 2019 1:41 pm

Hello,

I'm using doing a Security topology using an ASAv and a Dynamips router 7200VXR.

The CPU is 100% !!!.

I'm using Secure CRT on a MAC Pro.

When I'm trying to change the Idle PC value, following the EVE-NG Default IDLE PC process (https://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/ho ... -cisco-ios), a router session, it doesn't works.
First it seems that the Shorcut Comb, using Secure-CRT on my MAC Pro (press CTRL + ] then i, doesn't work properly.
It opens other Security CRT window, instead showing me the suggested idle pc value to be configured on the router.

Can you please help ?

Thanks
Regards,

Hello,

I have the same problem, when I'm connected to Eve-ng console, I have :

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
70605 root 20 0 814804 208412 68308 S 100.7 2.1 32:19.72 dynamips

Then I press two key combo "CTRL with ]", but I have :

Unknown command - try 'h' for help
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
70605 root 20 0 814804 208412 68308 S 100.7 2.1 33:04.30 dynamips

Seriously, I do recommend use Putty for this.
Usually key combo issues starts when is in use some non english (native windows) installs on PC.

Such bad stuff observed on MACOSX too..
If you cannot get key combo it is obviously keyboard and terminal issue.
For macosx better try other terminals

I second this
Btw, I was using SecureCRT while finding IDLE values and no problem.
