I am having an issue with the downloadable "qcow2" images downloadable from Cisco Systems. Whenever I copy the image as "virtioa.qcow2", it boots the image and I get the following menu items only:
CRS1000v - packages.conf
CRS1000v - GOLDIEN IMAGE
Then it boots to ...

Cisco csr1000v-universalk9.03.16.05.S.155-3.S5-ext.qcow2 image

SInce the qcow2 was already available from Cisco, I tried it. I when back and followed the instructions... All is working fine now. Thanks to all who responded.

qcow is not ok mate:) it has no serial console, just only newest denali and everest already has in qcow2 image added serial console.
The best anyway is install from ISO
