AMD EPYC 7763, SP3, 64 core

Post by jschlooz » Mon Nov 06, 2023 8:23 pm

Hi EVE-NG team,

We are considering the following specs for our company lab server:

AMD EPYC 7763, SP3, 64 core
Supermicro A+ Server 1014S-WTRT (Super H12SSW-NT mobo)
8 x Kingston KTD-PE432/64G = 512GB

We want to run Esxi as the main hypervisor and EVE-NG as a guest VM to retain flexibility. Do we need to tweak settings or does everything work out of the box? As per note on EVE-NG requirements on the website: Please consult to EVE support for CPU tune before use.

Specially looking out to run vManage, Nexus and some FTD/FMC and ISE.

Thanks in advance, guys! 🙏🏻

certain nodes will only work on qemu 4.1 or 5.2, and you would need to change the default template to qemu 4.1 or 5.2, that's all
