"connect node" menu option is not present in eve-ng

Post by loopback » Mon Mar 20, 2017 2:18 pm

"connect node" menu option is not present in eve-ng.
but it was present in unl between "add an object" and "nodes" in the left-side automatically hidding menue.
is that my workstation-related issue or it is the feature, that still needs to be implemented in EVE-NG?
kindly advise.

I see kinda sarcasm, but not at all.
even if it you may interpret that as "more intuitive", but it is not.
for instance, in the UNL I was able to connect with the cable one interface of vMX device with the another interface of the same device.
but now it happens on the way, that I am being asked about the "network" to connect them "in the middle", and even if I am choosing the "bridge" one, it doesn't work as the result.
and, I cannot connect two interfaces on the same device with "patch" cable directly at all by usage of GUI.

just try it by yourself.
1. open UNL , vor instance:

root@unl01:~# dpkg -s unetlab | grep 1.0
Version: 1.0.0-12

2. open a new lab
3. add one vMX juniper device
4. activate "connection nodes" menu
5. choose one of interfaces(em1?ge-0/0/0) and connect it to em2/ge-0/0/1.

try to reproduce this with EVE-NG
you'll see that by yourself.

I can't connect another node to any free interface

Post by AlexSe » Tue Mar 21, 2017 3:19 am

I upgrade EVE from 2.0.2 to 2.0.3.
When I turned on the router or the router, I can't connect another node to any free interface. If i stop them - all fine.
