how to downgrade to v76 from v77

I need help to downgrade eve version due to the constant freeze condition I keep experiencing since the upgrade.

host system
windows 7 enterprise 64bit
64gb ram
24 cpu
1tb hdd
vmware workstation 10

eve
32 gb ram
120 gb hdd
16 cpu
v77

- Disable completely cpulimit.
- Disable UKSM

Your issue is under investigation....

as far as i know, there is no "downgrade" possibility.
Do you have a backup?

nope, this was a fresh install. I will work to build another not upgraded to 77

That would have been my next question - I have the v76 file in my cache (/var/cache/apt/archives)

here is a session i had open to it.

The one in the background is rdp session from local server and the one in the front is from my laptop ssh to it. I ran both the top command on them both and for a few minutes they stayed pretty much in sync but the laptop ssh session froze and the rdp ssh local session stayed actively updating. One thing i did notice is whenever java shows up in the top session of the laptop ssh session the connection freezes.. but that may just be me
