Can you explain why the link state is always up even when far end is shutdown? This isn't just a QEMU behavior, it does this in dynamips also.
When you shutdown the far end the link state should go do down (GNS3 behaves this way).

Link state was NOT and will NOT be in virtual world.
Simply because layer 1 does not exist in virtual nodes...
Thats why previous topic closed and I closing this as well..
If you will use shutdown port on EVE node behave will be same as in GNS.
administratively down.
but not operational down when it does not receive signal...
