Hi , I have a problem with my EVE the cannot connect to any external host with the desired vmnet in Wmware workstation

i try to connect the devices to an external device, it works and when to use dhcp IP address as the client on my device, it gets the same IP address range with eve management.

for example, management IP of Eve is 192.168.129.136, when I try to connect any device and choose cloud, also it gets the same IP range of 192.168.129.X


any cloud is chosen to connect the device to external, it gets the IP address from range 192.168.129.x

I try to change the interface type in Vmware workstation, but it doesn't work...

according to cookbook, the cloud2 interface is equal to network 3 in Vmware, I change this network on wmware to bridge, host-only or any other but does not works and could not communicate with the desired IP range.

Your network 192.168.129.0/24 is on Cloud0
it is NAT adapter and Gateway for NAT network is 192.168.129.2
not .1
.1 is your native home PC.

any external VM using your VMnet will be on 192.168.129.0/24
if you did any changes on vmnets and eve, eve reboot is amust

thanks for your reply, but I already reboot the eve many times but it still gets an IP address only from 192.168.129.X
do you have any other suggestion to have to connect other Events on the wmware workstation

It is very simple and straight stuff regarding vmnets.
It looks like are lost in two trees or you simply cannot explain what do you want
If you connecting your nodes to cloud0 of course it will receive IP from 192.168.129.0/24
