XR9000v - KVM: entry failed, hardware error 0x7

Post by mku » Wed Jan 22, 2020 2:48 pm

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get XR9000v running. I run EVE-NG on top of ESXi and while booting the image i'm getting an error:

KVM: entry failed, hardware error 0x7

Does it have something to do with nested virtualization? Is it possible to run this image in EVE-NG hosted on ESXi, or does it have to be bare metal?

Thanks.

Depends of your ESXi host CPU model and do you enabled Intel VT-X/EPT for your EVE VM on esxi?
Please read our Cookbook how to install EVE on ESXi
There is how to nable Nested virtualization for EVE VM
