vIOSL2 Interfaces annoying naming sequence

Post by mhdganji » Wed Mar 18, 2020 6:09 am

Hi,

I'm using vIOSL2 in my project. The problem is interface naming for a .. say 12 port switch goes like this :

Gi 0/0
Gi 0/1
Gi 0/2
Gi 0/3

Gi 1/0
Gi 1/1
Gi 1/2
Gi 1/3

Gi 2/0
Gi 2/1
Gi 2/2
Gi 2/3

It's annoying and I don't like it. I'd like to have control and do changes to this. For instance, I'd like it to go from Gi 0/1 to Gi 0/12 Like a normal L2 Switch -- or Gi 1/0/1 to Gi 1/0/12 like a stacked L3 switch or so.

Would you please help me in this?

I'm using latest community version and my image is : viosl2-adventerprisek9-m.03.2017

Regards,
Mohammad
