"Show Run" doesn't show updates until reload

Hi All, new to EVE-NG and really liking it so far. Question, when I make config changes and then do a "show run", I don't see my changes. However, if I do a "wr mem", and reload the switch/router, then I see my config in show run. Is this normal? Running EVE-NG on ESXi server.
