shutdown option in yaml templates

Hello,
Can someone tell me what the option that I see in some YAML templates means?
I am looking for a way for to make a QEMU node gracefully shut down when I click the stop button similar to GNS3's send ACPI shut down signal option.
Is such a thing possible.
