Hello,
I'm trying to install Community. When I boot on the ISO file, I get 2 options related to Eve install:
1/ install Community
2/ install Community server
I used option 2 as specified in the community cook book v5.1 (section 3.3.1, step 1).
However, from there the menus are slighty different compared to what is described in the cook book.
For instance I'm asked if I want to activate SSH.
But the main issue is that after the installation is complete and the systeme reboots, I just get the linux prompt.
running dpkg -l eve-ng states that there is no such package.
I'm stucked at step 13 (it looks like eve-setup script is not executed)
I'm probably doing something wrong but can't figure out what .
Could you please help describe the correct process ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Help with Community v5.0.1-13 Bare metal install
looks like the cookbook is misleading.
The option "Default" should be chosen at step1 in order for Eve-setup.sh to be properly copied and executed at next reboot.
Now I have a question at step 18:
apt upgrade
I get this message:
Fetched 51.7 MB in 6s (9,167 kB/s)
Extracting templates from packages: 100%
Preconfiguring packages ...
(Reading database ... 116057 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to unpack .../motd-news-config_11ubuntu5.6_all.deb ...
Unpacking motd-news-config (11ubuntu5.6) over (11ubuntu5.5) ...
Preparing to unpack .../base-files_11ubuntu5.6_amd64.deb ...
Warning: Stopping motd-news.service, but it can still be activated by:
motd-news.timer
Unpacking base-files (11ubuntu5.6) over (11ubuntu5.5) ...
Setting up base-files (11ubuntu5.6) ...
Configuration file '/etc/issue'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** issue (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?
Is the default choice correct ?

Hi Uldis,
thanks for the confirmation.
If I may, this is confusing as this is not specified in the official Cook book (page 36, step 18)
It is instead described in the HowTo https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/how-to ... t-version/
Cheers
