Web GUI login unresponsive

Post by jajao555 » Sun Oct 02, 2022 1:46 pm

I have EVE-NG community freshly installed but can't login webgui. I'm using admin/eve but get nothing after clicking login.

From the FAQ page I tried the two troubleshooting steps:

I have a 200g drive and only see loop directories full but I'm not sure if that's actually a problem?

Code: Select all

root@eve-ng2:~# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
udev 58G 0 58G 0% /dev
tmpfs 12G 1.3M 12G 1% /run
/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv 195G 38G 149G 21% /
tmpfs 58G 0 58G 0% /dev/shm
tmpfs 5.0M 0 5.0M 0% /run/lock

/dev/sda2 1.5G 252M 1.2G 19% /boot
/dev/loop2 48M 48M 0 100% /snap/snapd/17029
/dev/loop1 64M 64M 0 100% /snap/core20/1623

tmpfs 12G 0 12G 0% /run/user/0
When trying to restore database it looks like I get a rejected access error so not sure if somehow the mysql password is wrong in this command?

Code: Select all

root@eve-ng2:~# unl_wrapper -a restoredb ; grep -q default_time_zone /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf || echo "default_time_zone='+00:00'" >> /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf ; systemctl restart mysql

ERROR 3554 (HY000) at line 1138: Access to system table 'mysql.innodb_index_stats' is rejected.
I also tried the command to just reset user database and also got a user account rejected as well?

Code: Select all

root@eve-ng2:~# echo "DELETE from users where username = 'admin';" | mysql --host=localhost --user=root --password=eve-ng eve_ng_db
mysql: [Warning] Using a password on the command line interface can be insecure.
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Here's my eve-info output for reference

Re: Web GUI login unresponsive

Post by jajao555 » Sun Oct 02, 2022 5:39 pm

I got this resolved. I had used the backup procedure and copied the old evedb.gz file over and ran the restore db command and was running into the web gui no response issue.

I just tried using the default evedb.gz and removed my original back up. Reran the permissions and restore db commands and then I was able to get in and looks like my labs are all there.

Edit:
Actually looks like the configs aren't saved on Juniper vSRX qemu devices? Is there a way I can pull configs manually from my old server through CLI? For some reason the nodes won't start and I wasn't able to downgrade from Pro which is why I migrated to this server. Lab topology is there just not configs for some reason?
