EVE-NG Community 6.2.0-4: Nodes Won't Start After Installation & fixpermissions Warning

Post by llwwei » Tue May 06, 2025 10:11 am

Hi all,

I've installed EVE-NG Community Edition, version 6.2.0-4-Community.

After the installation, I performed the following steps:

Copied the image files to the path: /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu

Copied the YML template files to the path: /opt/unetlab/html/templates/intel

After copying the files, I executed the command:

/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions

During the execution of this command, I received the following warning:

PHP Warning: file_get_contents(/opt/unetlab/platform): Failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /opt/unetlab/html/includes/init.php on line 71

Now, when I go into the EVE-NG web interface and add a device (node), it fails to start. (Please see the attached screenshot).

Could anyone please advise on what might be causing this issue?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Your virtualization is off. You can run this command ---> kvm-ok in Eve terminal and check if it's off or on. If you're on Windows 10 or 11, You can use this how to https://www.eve-ng.net/wp-content/uploa ... zation.pdf
