static ip disappears after running wizard
Hello guys.
Im having issue with setting up static IP. After completing bare server install static IP works fine.
I get to to setup wizard, go thru it, them after reboot I get message no ip on eth0.
I went to VM version, which was working fine with DHCP, deleted .configured file, after reboot wizard came up, I set static IP and after reboot same issue: no IP on eth0.
Please advice.
Thanks an advance.

Thank you very much for reply!
I did those steps and after next reboot everything was fine, but after step 14 eth0 lost configuration.
Thanks again.

When I delete .congiured file, and run wizard after reboot, it doesnt work.
In interfaces file it' puts static configuration under pnet0 interface, is this how it should be?
Thanks for reply

Re: static ip disappears after running wizard
Script works, ofc if you didnt set stat IPs on interface yourself...

Re: static ip disappears after running wizard
still no luck with script/wizard.
It works when I setup static IP during initial server setup, then I install eve, and its actually working if I don't logon to server via cli.
As soon as I logon, wizards starts and messes it up.
Is there way not to run wizard once it's installed?
Thanks for replys

Re: static ip disappears after running wizard
I have the same issue. But mine its a Virtual Machine running on ESXi. (Followed ULDIS How to "OVA on ESXI VIDEO")
Installed on ESXi host and after the wizard, the network configurations just disappears.
When I use the command "ifconfig" the only interface available is the lo0.
On the "/etc/network/interfaces" the ip address is assigned to a "pnet0" interface.
What could be the problem?
Update: Tried with DHCP enabled, and it works. Maybe something on the script is breaking the configuration when you set the ip to static?
