Windows 11 + SecureCRT 8.7 + SuperPutty

Post by Pulse69 » Tue Aug 29, 2023 2:50 pm

When I upgraded from Win10 to Win11, SecureCRT worked fine in EVE-NG. Since the upgrade to Win11, I had to reinstall SecureCRT and now it no longer works. In Win11, I changed the default TELNET app to SecureCRT. In the EVE-NG folder, the Registry filename begins with win10 instead of win11. Is this an issue? Also, after I installed SuperPutty, the executable file for SuperPutty DOES NOT appear in the EVE-NG folder.

It's really frustrating using a standard Putty emulator. Is there any fix for this conundrum aside from downgrading to Win10? Also, is there another tabbed emulator that will work?

Many thanks...

I think,
The compatibility difficulties with SecureCRT in Win11 might be aggravating. Check that you're running the latest version of Windows 11. If problems persist, consider contacting SecureCRT support for assistance. You might also look into alternative tabbed emulators such as MobaXterm or ConEmu.Gb Whatsapp Download

Right-click on the SecureCRT executable, go to Properties, and navigate to the Compatibility tab. Try running it in compatibility mode for Windows 10 to see if that resolves the issue.rice purity test
