Quick Question

Post by jetter555 » Sat Aug 01, 2020 7:09 pm

I am new to Eve-NG. I am currently running the latest community version on ESXi. I have added asav992.qcow2
from my Cisco Virl account using the instructions on the bottom half of this link

https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/docume ... isco-asav/

I started at step 2 since I have a virl image. When I add the asav to a lab and boot it up, it hangs during boot up.

Booting...
Platform ASAv
IO memory blocks requested from bigphys 32bit: 87680

If I change to node to use vnc, it boots up just fine.

So what I would like to do is either fix the bootup issue using telnet, or change the node in Eve to default to using vnc when I add it to a lab.
I don't see any way to adjust the default settings for a node in Eve, is that even possible?

Thanks
Mike

Actually CML image must work from this how to:
https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/docume ... ml-images/

Question how old is that VIRL image?
If VNC starts and telnet not, then telnet is not tuned for this image properly.
So then how to od ASAv will be proper one
