EVE community breaks vQFX-PFE

Post by NelsonR » Tue Dec 03, 2019 11:46 am

Hello,

I had a working setup with vQFXs and with latest Eve-ng Community the vQFX PFE image breaks with kernel panic!
Does not matter which version I try.
Can you help to identify the bug and troubleshoot this?

Current EVE-NG bare-metal :
Linux eve-ng 4.20.17-eve-ng-ukms+ #2 SMP Wed Jun 5 08:18:06 CEST 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Edit PFE node qemu line:

-machine type=pc,accel=kvm -vga std -usbdevice tablet -boot order=cd

remove at the end -cpu host

Thanks!

Removing the -cpu host it boots ok!

I had also found a similar workaround, -cpu host,level=9 to disable PMU .
Curious what the level=9 means, but it also works.
