School Setup

Hi Admins,

I am looking to build a lab of at least 100 students for Cisco (CCNA and CCNP) level. There will be at least 10 devices running for each student which will be using around 32 gig of RAM and at least 5 CPU cores.
Can you help me finding the right hardware which can support this or do I have to use multiple servers. I am willing to pay a reasonable amount for license and support. I am starting this project for local college which is extendable for new cisco / juniper courses.

Well,

100 students on single server, no sir..
Even if your lab is x5 CPU and 32 GB RAM per student.
for 100 online user mutiply these values by 100 !!!
I never seen Server with 500 CPU cores

Solution would multi servers and all ow use eve only 5-10 students at the same time..

You have to decide how many students will use EVE at the same time !
Because from this will depend how big server you need.
DO not say 100 students at the same time, such is not possible.
Most probably are 10-20 Students at same time.
Then suitable will be such server:
Dual CPU Intel E5-2697V3 (56 threads) and 256Gb.
4TB SSD hard drives

Lab per one student 10-20 IOL nodes.

You can split users in classrooms, 10 in each and setup specific access times and days for them. EVE Pro allows manage user groups such way.
