EVE Questions

Post by Prasanthsrj » Fri Dec 27, 2019 1:06 pm

Hi,
i have few questions related to EVE.
1.Can we do load balancing in EVE means 2 eve-pro installing in two server and accessing them as one EVE,where the load can be shared like in GNS3 VM Servers?
2.Can we link multiple LAbs?.. Like if created ASA Fail-over lab and then another LAB BGP and Them Some other internal Routing LAB. Can we combine all Three in one lab and make it work?
3.Please answer. i have two old quard core servers, Planning to buy Eve-Pro and looking forward for these answers.

Thanks.

1. cluster eve will come in next year, and it will be not load balancing but cluster! feel difference..
2.Yes you can, now you can use special cloud interfaces to connect labs in frame of one user or even interconnect multiuser labs. This options is fully supported in all ways.
It is described in our EVE cookbook, Section 10.
https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/docume ... -cookbook/
3. No answer for this point, because old servers have old cpu and can not run newest images.
CPU cores on old CPUs will not help you even you will merge such servers together..
example: you can have 5 old servers, but they will not be able run nodes, which single new gen server will do...
what is that CPU model on your old server sir? Need check if it does support at all suvirtualization/EPT...

Thanks for your reply....😀

The Servers are
1. Hp dl380 g6 dual quard core xeon 55xx series processor.
2 . Hp z800 dual quad processor.

Any how load balancing is not available. I will be using either of that servers.
