Creating a Linux Image with Pre-installed Software

Post by michaelj » Sat Apr 17, 2021 6:39 pm

Hello.

Are you able to fire up a linux distro, install some software on it, and then package that up to install into eve? I am having problems hitting the internet from within my labs so I was curious if this was possible. Thanks.

Ok thank you. I won't be able to hit the internet regardless so if it relies on that, i'm kind of SOL. That's why I want to download it locally to my MAC, install some apps, package that up and then send it over to my lab

no mate,
on mAC your EVE is on Fusion, and you can use EVE mgmt IP as NAT adapter from your Fusion.
Therefore adding cloud0 on the topo you will get your Fusion NATted network, all you need is connect node to this cloud, configure Fusion Nat network some free ip and internet will be on.
You didnt tell which EVE you have Pro or community..
