eve-ng on xcp-ng (xen)

Post by digit23 » Sat May 08, 2021 8:58 pm

I have try to install eve-ng community on xenserver. So far I have noted that eve-ng VM crash when initiating qemu with accel=kvm

So I have proceed to install Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS, then qemu. I can now runk Mikrotik image using qemu with ou without accel=kvm: no crash.
Then I have installed linux-image-4.20.17-eve-ng-ukms+. Now everytime I launch Mikrotik image with accel=kvm, Ubuntu VM crash. Without accel, no crash.

Look like there is something in linux-image-4.20.17-eve-ng-ukms+ that do not play right with Xen when qemu use KVM. Might be related to nested virtualization.

So I want to see what linux-image-4.20.17-eve-ng-ukms+ is made of but can't seems to find source for that package.

Anyone here can help mefigure out what is the issue with that kernel image, with the build process ?
