Adding physical NICs to EVE VM

Post by eyerollsohard » Tue Aug 23, 2022 4:15 pm

Hey all! I run EVE-NG Pro as a VM on a Windows 10 machine via VMware Workstation Pro. I recently added a 4-port NIC, but I'm having trouble getting traffic to pass from nodes in EVE to anything connected physically. I have the ports added to the EVE VM and can see them in ifconfig (though they do not have IPs). I added each additional NIC as "Cloud1," "Cloud2," etc, as the EVE documentation suggests. I think I'm missing something on the Windows/VMware side of things. Ideally, the only L3 interfaces would be on the EVE node and whatever I have physically connected (in this case, EX2300), but I'm not sure if it will work that way. Anyone else messed with this and/or better at Windows than me?

Don't mind me, I got it working. This article helped me fix my VMware mistake: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMwar ... -p/2218619
