I am using Arista (vEOS-lab-4.22.13M).

You can normally start up to 29 interfaces in the node settings, but if you set it to 30 or more, it will become "Lost carrier" and Arista will not start.

Any solution?

It limitation of Arista virtual image, stable are 25 interfaces

Because it is virtual image ! It is wander that is is holding even 25 interfaces norammly. Usually virtual images limit is about 12-16 interfaces only

Thank you for answering. However, "because it is a virtual image" was a slightly disappointing answer. I felt that "not HW" was also an answer showing the limits of EVE-NG.

If anyone has a more technical answer, please let me know.

It is not limit of the EVE-NG ! But Arista image issues

cisco nexus 9000v virtual image easy holding 64 interfaces
Also I will give you more, Arista image performance is very poor also, about 100kb througput
Conclusion, this image can be used for labs without traffic, to test just ICMP or just technology and features like vPC

Any idea how to tune this from eve-ng to make it work better?

EVE-NG is not guilty in this case
but vendor image we cannot fork to make it better

Arista image is as it is, to be honest it is not best image at all
