Re: VMWare | Virtualized Intel VT XEPT Is Not Supported On This Platform
I have "HP EliteBook x360 1040 G8 Notebook PC Wolf Pro Security Edition" i am getting the same error with VM workstation 17 player.
my laptop is win 11 pro. Model - 9A8U4UA#ABA
I performed all step per the document. issue not resolved
one thing i noted is, even i did the following, when i run msinfo32/system, it show Virtualization based Security is running.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Go to Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System
Double Click on Device Guard on the right hand side to open.
Double Click on "Turn On Virtualization Security" to open a new window
It would be "Not Configured", Select "Disable" and click "Ok"
Close the Group Policy Editor.
Restart the system
--------------------------------------------------------------
I checked BIOS many time, Virtualization is enabled. In the task manager , i see Virtualization enabled. ( cores 4, logical processors 8)
i restarted 3 time, shutdown 3 time. still same issue.
i need to buy pro also. looking help to fix.

After reboot Turn On Virtualization Security is disabled.
But if i run , msinfo32/system. i see following.
Virtualization-based security Running
I searched internet, many people say same method to disable. but Virtualization-based security always Running.
in fact, i removed the Wolf Security program, still not resolved.
i rebooted/shutdown few times.
another note, when i start VM, i get following popup, this is not applicable for me since i am using VM player.
still not resolved, need help to buy.
----------------------------------------------------------------
You are running this virtual machine with side channel mitigations enabled. Side channel mitigations provide enhanced security but also lower performance.
To disable mitigations, change the side channel mitigations setting in the advanced panel of the virtual machine settings. Refer to VMware KB article 79832 at https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/79832 for more details.
------------------------------------------------------------------
my laptop is 4 cores with 8 logical processor, 32 gb ram. this will be good to run like following node?
1. RHEL8 -1 for ansible test
2. Nexus 9k - 6 node
3. Catalys switch - 4 node
But if i run , msinfo32/system. i see following.
