GUI access to devices inaccessible in Windows browsers

Post by Pulse69 » Sat Oct 05, 2024 1:33 pm

When I try to access Cisco ASA or WSA VMs in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, I get the usual dialog box "Connection not private - proceed unsafe". When I click on proceed, it produces the following errors:

Access to 192.168.1.100 was denied
192.168.1.100 didn’t accept your login certificate, or one may not have been provided.
Try contacting the system admin.
ERR_BAD_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT

I have tried both HTTP & HTTPS, deleted the browser data, removed browser protection, and disabled the firewall

The VM I'm trying to access in the GUI is accessible via SSH from other devices in the network...

It is your browser security issues, check other browsers

ASAv and WSA must be configured to access via https as well

WSA VM is an older version (12.0.1-334). On the WSA, I had to configure WebUI for TLS version 1.2 for it to be compatible with the newer browsers...
