Max number of ports Juniper vEX

Its useful for me to be able to support upto to 64 ports on a VM ?
however I seem to hitting a limit of 28 , after which my VM does not boot.
Its there a limit in Eveng ?
the VM itself can support up to 64

Is there a known limit in EVE-NG?
The VM itself is capable of supporting up to 64 ports.
