Bare-Metal Setup -> Choose the disc where to install
Hello Uldis
I bought a new NVMe for my physical server and figured out that the Ubuntu installer does not ask on which disc I want to install Eve-NG.
Instead it just uses the first one found.
Thanks god I haven't clicked "next next" like the Windows guys do. My server has 2 additional discs with an OS on each disc including valuable data.
Please fix the cloud-init script so that I can at least choose which disc I use and grub should do the rest regarding updating the boot menu entries.

Re: Bare-Metal Setup -> Choose the disc where to install
Hello Uldis
I don't think so.
What I have is this:
3 independent NVMe and 2x HDDs controlled by Linux as a Software Raid-1.
NVMe 1:
Hosts an independent Linux XUbuntu 22.04 LTS its purpose is to play with dozens of VMs and other use cases
NVMe 2:
Hosts an independent Windows 10
NVMe 3:
Should get EVE-NG Pro, I tried the full ISO --> https://ln5.sync.com/dl/4c4b828f0/jvpb8 ... i-6x6vekpc
I know how LVM works by heart and did hundreds of Ubuntu Server deployments....I'm either blind like a mole and can't find the custom disc setup menu in your customized ISO (but I found your setup yaml) OR there's something new to me.
My target/goal is:
Start the server, choose OS 1|2|3 via grub.

Re: Bare-Metal Setup -> Choose the disc where to install
Personally I dislike such dual boot systems, always something is not right.
I am trying avoid to do such.
Also software raid is not the best at all..

Hello Uldis
Grub works on 10000 productive serves like a charm.
EVE-NG would‘t touch the software raid.
Anyway: Could you adjust your installer to let me choose my disk?

Re: Bare-Metal Setup -> Choose the disc where to install
Hi,
I would like to install on a HP Proliant with RAID1 volume for OS and 4 x disk for data (will be in LVM). I want to stress this is bare-metal dedicated for EVE-NG, not hybrid.
The installer keeps selecting on of the 4 disks instead of the RAID1 volume. How do I select the RAID1 volume?
Thanks
JT
