I was curious to know if anyone has had success with booting these newer NSv versions. They are different from the previous 7.0.1 versions. in Mysonicwall.com, I requested a trial of NSv 270 and downloaded for 7.1.1
"Deployment Images" soniccorex-image-release-nsv-kvm-R6162.wic.qcow2.zip (387.72 MB)
-contains 4 files :
soniccorex-image-release-nsv-kvm-R6162.wic.qcow2 (409MB)
10-sonicwall-x86_64-secure-enrolled.json (1 KB)
OVMF_CODE.sw.fd (3.5MB)
OVMF_VARS.sw.fd (528 KB)
also available is this standalone file (which I believe is to upgrade if already at a previous 7.1.1 installation)
sw_nsv_kvm_eng.7.1.1-7058-R6162.bin.sig (332.4 MB)
the previous 7.0.1 KVM file is something like this :
SonicWall_NSv_7.0.1-5145_For_QEMU_VM.img (1.6 GB)
I cannot upgrade from 7.0.1 to 7.1.1 or 7.1.2
7.1.1 and higher has something called "Virtual Trusted Platform Module (vTPM)"
requires a "fresh install" per KB :

7.1.1 on KVM...

I am trying to follow this eve-ng guide, but since there is no .img file like in 7.0.1, so it is not the same process

Any feedback appreciated.

Jason
