Image FGT_VM64_KVM-v7.2.4.F-build1396-FORTINET.out.kvm.zip

Here you can ask EVE-NG team to add new images to the list to play in lab.

Do not ask questions like "where I can get image x or Y" in that forum

My friend,
this zipped file first needs to be unzipped and only then you can rename it.

.zip is archive file, and before need unzip it

after unzip you will get this file: fortios.qcow2,
then place it is eve image folder and it must be named to virtioa.qcow2

Code: Select all

root@eve-ng-master:/opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v7.2.4-build1396# ls -l
total 92932
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 95158272 Jan 31 05:37 virtioa.qcow2

Below you can see that I created the directory with the same name. Fortigate does not start.

root@eve-ng:/opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v7.2.4-build1396# mv fortios.qcow2 virtioa.qcow2
root@eve-ng:/opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v7.2.4-build1396# ls -l
total 92928
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 95158272 Feb 7 23:19 virtioa.qcow2
root@eve-ng:/opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/fortinet-FGT-v7.2.4-build1396# ls -l
total 92928
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 95158272 Feb 7 23:19 virtioa.qcow2

visit eve Live chat support for any questions, it seems your eve install issue now.
https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/live-helpdesk/
use your gmail account or create new chat account with own email

it might be windows 11 issue
or you simply had not enabled nested Intel VT virtualization on your eve cpu

Hi Uldis!

When enabled "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or ADM-V/RVI" the KVM does not work. When I disable "Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT or ADM-V/RVI" , fortigate starts and then stops.

You have Windoows 11 or your CPU simply does not support Intel VT-X.
Your EVE VM has not enabled it. It is exactly saying you where is the problem
