NGIPSv inside EVE unable to communicate outside

I am relatively new to eve-ng, this is my first post here. thanks to the creators of this amazing tool.

I m facing issues with NGIPSv inside eve,

i did the following steps

1. downloaded and loaded the firepower6-NGIPS-6.1.0-330 to eve
2. deployed a vFMC in Esxi
3. configured the IP address to mgmt0 in NGIPSv
4. connected the mgmt port to a a sw inside eve, this switch is trunked to a physical switch
NGIPSv is unable to ping even the virtual switch inside the eve, which the mgmt port is directly connected...

Also tried connecting the mgmt port directly to a cloud interface with no luck

Am i missing any steps here, pls advice.

I have re-done it based on the steps and after changing the interface type from drop-down, it worked.
