Huawei eNSP on EVE

Here you can ask EVE-NG team to add new images to the list to play in lab.

Do not ask questions like "where I can get image x or Y" in that forum

Huawei eNSP on EVE

Post by wexwex » Thu Mar 23, 2017 5:13 am

Hi there,
Is there any way to run Huawei eNSP devices on EVE, such as their routers (ARxxx) and switches (CE6800)? I've got the AR_Base.vdi for the routers, but got way to figure out how to run it on EVE.

No reason to implement such stuff. huawei eNSP is nothing else like Cico Packet tracer, it is not real huamei device.
In the EVE this subemulation will not be implemented

Huawei Nodes

Post by maurob » Thu Apr 20, 2017 5:25 pm

Hi, have you tried to support Huawei nodes? Huawei simulator eNSP comes with some VirtualBox images (for router, datacenter switch, firewall, access point, and wireless controller). I don´t know how to insert o convert those images tu run on EVE.

If you want I could upload those images in order you could work on that.

Thanks.

I use eNSP and it runs modified devices images, but it is much more than Packet Tracer. With eNSP you can generate real traffic and establish adyacencies with other devices like Cisco, Juniper, etc (real or virtualized). It also runs real spanning tree frames, LLDP, and other protocols.
I think EVE developer team could take those images and adapt them for EVE.

I could collaborate with all the necessary images.

Thanks.

eNSP are not images, but emulation sowftware !! like Cisco packet tracer..They are not images but some programm script only...!!!!

And such we will never include in EVE. As I know soon should be huawei router AR1000...then yes we will try get it in...
https://www.sdxcentral.com/products/hua ... al-router/
eNSP will not be in the EVE, it is not image of real node !!!
