vQFX is not receiving traffic

Post by NitrousOxyde » Thu Jan 09, 2020 6:03 pm

Hi mates,

Recently while playing with vQFX 15 on EVE, I've noticed one interesting thing - it appears that interfaces on vQFX are not forwarding any traffic. I've tried different scenarios - created a LAG with/without LACP, configured interface in access mode, and when checking, I can see that switch is sending certain packets(LACP, BPDU) but nothing is received. Even when I disable LACP on LAG and it comes up, it does not receive any traffic. Any ideas why this could happen?

Anyone has faced this problem? I've tried both 15.x and 18.x, same issue.

Folks,

Any help here?

I tried different versions, even officially downloaded version from Juniper, but still no luck.

FPCs on switches are operational, but no traffic is being received on interfaces.

It is specific and issue of vQFX image.
Other vendor images not such problems.
Yesterday I tested myself that vGFX 18.X and yes counters inbound stay calm.
But lab was done and traffic runing smooth over them..

THIS IS INCREDIBLE - it appears that I was always connecting xe ports on PFEs, not REs. Now noticed that in your screenshot and vQFX manual here - https://www.eve-ng.net/index.php/docume ... iper-vqfx/

I've tested on 15.x, now all features (L2/L3) work perfectly.

Thanks for assistance though - this is good example of how important it is to pay attention to details ;)
