Adding one modulle 24-36 ports Cisco switches

Post by erkan_iii » Wed Dec 26, 2018 1:25 pm

I don no know if this is the proper place for this .

Most Cisco CCIE topologies are built using 24 or 36 Switch ports in one Module not Multiple Module as in EVE-NG IOS, IOU or IOL.

I do not know if EVE-NG has the ability to emulate 24-36 port switch which make it confusing to follow all the
courses or books that built their switching topology on a 24-36 port single Module switch.

Will I be able to emulate any Cisco Device like cisco SGE2000 with 24 gig ports and 2 fiper ports in EVE-NG.

Is there around trick that can configure a switch in eve-ng to have a 24 or 36 switch port in a single module.

Thanks

Switch which does support 24 ports is IOL SW L2, Airsta vEOS, or Nexus 9K.
It will 6x 4-ports ethernet crads on it. (4 ports module)
It is only option to have 24 ports on single node.
But eve in labs are used 24 ports switch you actually neednot it.. Quite enough is woth 12-16 ports devices

Real SW models you are not able to emulate, due simply such not exist as virtual device.
And no one virtual device has such 24 port module.
