Your install is: Bare metal, ESXi, what CPU model, RAM, HD, what EVE version you have, output of the uname -a and any other info that might help us faster.

Dumb question about install on bare server

Post by baptiste » Wed Feb 12, 2025 9:04 am

Hello, please forgive me for this dumb question, but I would like to know if the eve-ng-pro ISO image (featured here) contain a web browser package in the unbuntu distrib ?

The context is that I'm trying to install this iso on a bare metal server without access to internet.
After the install, I am not able to get access to the GUI of EVE, nor GUI of Ubuntu.

As I'm a newbie on Linux, there might be an obvious answer that I'm missing.

You need to reinstall Eve. The iso is offline, it doesn't need internet to install Eve; however, after the installation your server will need to have internet for license verification.
