I need help with the Ubuntu image on my EVE-NG:

I am a networking engineer, and I started Linux not so long ago, but I am not able to run it proplery from EVE-NG, and I hoped you guys could help me?

you mate ping named ping not numeric

ping www.google.com

works??

It is dns issue, or maybe your eve is behind FW or proxy as well

First of all thank you for your reply, but I would say that DNS is working fine since I am able to use nslookup or to ping name such as b92.com

I configured in /etc/resolv.conf that it should use 8.8.8.8, but again I am not able to do any of the commands mentioned above.

If you have any other suggestion I am all ears.

Just to add that my EVE is behind a usual modem that you get from the service provider, on another Win machine I have Ubuntu on VirtualBox and it's working fine so I would say that it's not a modem/ISP problem.

Hi,

You got it wrong, I said that another separate Linux VM sits on a VBOX and works just fine, there is no any problem with the DNS or ISP.

Anyone else having this problem? Can anyone else suggest any workaround for this problem?
